danagryphon: (Mal Misbehave)
I'm working from home today, so that we can get a little earlier start out to the Berkshires for the camping trip tonight. Meanwhile, I'm doing a ton of laundry, and still have to pack.

Went shooting at Li's last night, and we mostly worked on timed shooting, and shooting weird targets from weird positions (practice for woods walk), as practice for K&Q's. This will be my first time shooting at K&Qs, so I'm pretty excited.

Meanwhile, M's friend L came down and went shooting in Acton with him, after picking up the bow he had ordered. M was in bed when I got home last night, so I haven't had a chance to ask him how it went.

E's first playoff game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. He needs to be at the field at 12:30. Which means we will have to leave the campground absolutely no later than 10 a.m. Which is doable. Unfortunately, it also means that I have to cancel Shire archery practice for Sunday, since the game won't be over until 3 p.m. at the earliest.

In funny Facebook land, I got one of those "a friend answered a question about you" notifications. Turns out one of the guys I went to high school with got asked "Do you think LM could eat more than 3 Big Macs at one time?" Now, keep in mind that even though I lost a 100 lbs during my freshmen year in HS, to the people I went to school with, I'm sure I will always and forever be "the fat kid". And none of them know that I have had gastric bypass. So I was actually somewhat surprised when this guy answered "No" (Maybe he thought, "Well, she can do 3, but more than 3? Nah."). The amusing thing is that these days, it would be a struggle for me to finish 1 Big Mac (I've done it, but it takes me about 45 minutes), and would feel queasy for quite a while afterward. The other thing I am amused about on FB is that I seem to have gotten dumped by one of my cousins as a friend. I guess he was shocked to find gambling in this establishment that he was related to one of them thar librul elitists. But that's my policy these days, if you can't handle the truth about me, then get out of my sandbox; I will not hide in any closet for anyone.
