danagryphon: (Sun & Moon)
Last night I took M out for his birthday (which was actually Sunday, while he was busy ski instructing and I was finishing a camping trip with B's troop), and he decided he wanted to go up to the Weathervane in Nashua for seafood. And unlike his father, when I said he could pick where he wanted to go, I actually meant it.

M's parents took him out for dinner on Saturday while B and I were camping. Here is the convo where they worked out the details:

D (M's father): "We'll take you out to dinner, where ever you want. You pick the place."
M: "How about that really good sushi place near you?"
D: "No, I don't feel like sushi."
M: "Ok, how about Chili's? I could go for Chili's."
D: "Nah, your mother doesn't really want Chili's."
M: "Ok, then were do you suggest we go?"
D: "How about Polcari's?"
M: "Sure, why not."

After dinner, we did a little shopping, since we almost never go up to Nashua anymore. Office Depot was going out of business, and I picked up a bunch of good drafting pens and some calligraphy markers for doing practice work. And a new, bigger cork board for the kitchen.

Tonight we have to tidy up the house for my sister's visit this weekend. They are arriving Thursday (luckily after the big storm), and will officially be the first guests to try out our "guest room".

I'm already making plans to probably work from home tomorrow when school is canceled because of the snow.
