Art for [livejournal.com profile] musickmadness Glee [livejournal.com profile] mpregbigbang story, A Company of Three. I did a banner and a fanmix (with a cover). I ship Kurtofsky so hard, and this story was a long, well-developed tale of how complicated relationships can be. Just wonderful.

To celebrate the premiere of S4 of Glee last night, here's the lyrics from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs for S3. And you can listen to it here. I think the storyline featuring Coach Beiste was an amazing one, and I hope she shows up more this season. I love that character.

Ok, I will admit it. I found the season finale of Glee rather disappointing.

And yeah, I get that it was supposed to feel disappointing for some of the characters, when they didn't get into the schools they were dreaming of.

But was disappointed me is that they didn't give any sort of resolution to Kurt. We found out that Finn was going to continue with his back up plan of enlisting in the army. But what the FUCK about Kurt? And I was really, really hoping that TPTB wouldn't let the Karofsky storyline languish after On My Way, but they did.

But this fic has is now totally my headcanon until S4 starts. Ryan Murphy, PAY ATTENTION!

I have to admit that I never really thought much about Christina Aguilera's music, but after hearing a few of her songs on Glee now, I may have to go explore it a bit.

Oh, and Blaine's scene while he was singing this... yum... (I feel so freaking naughty for even finding the kid hot, y'know? But hey, I'm old middle aged, not dead.)

I've loved this song for a long time, and thought the rendition of it on Glee was beautifully done. There are many songs from that episode, Yes/No, that are now on my favorites list.

Okay, much as I would love to see Kurt with Dave Karofsky instead of Blaine, I have to admit that Darren Criss is just waaaaaay too cute and bouncy and perky to hate for long.

Ok, so I'm sure this says something profoundly sad about how obsessed I am with both Supernatural and Glee that the fact that someone did a Dean/Castiel video to one of my favorite Glee songs has me totally squeeing like a teenage girl.

Just got back from seeing the Glee Concert Movie with the boychild. First, it was mildly hilarious watching him primp and preen in front of a mirror, striking poses in his fedora and lamenting the lack of any Glee-wear in his wardrobe. All of this just to go to a MOVIE.

I was glad that the theater was practicall empty (E counted 6 people, including us), because then I didn't feel bad about us waving our arms around, singing along, and generally engaging in behavior I usually consider inappropriate at theaters. But this was different, because it was, at it's heart, a CONCERT.

At first, I was very skeptical about the 3D part... what on earth could they do to make a concert movie be worth 3D? Well, I am converted. The 3D pulled the performers right into your lap, making you really feel part of the concert experience, even though it was a movie. Well done.

They had vignettes scattered throughout of fans who talked about the impact Glee had on their lives. Some of these were very touching. They also had the stars talking between songs in their Glee characters, which was pretty funny. And the music was, of course, just FRIKKIN' AWESOME.

(Ok, repeat after me, self: Cory Monteith is 29 years old, not 17, Cory Monteith is 29 years old, not 17, Cory Monteith is 29 years old, not 17. Whew, there, I feel a little less like a sleazeball now. A little bit.)

We went over to Newbury Comics afterward and bought the soundtrack CD. E was hoping they had a giant L foam finger like they had in the show, but alas they did not.

Definitely worth the price of a matinee, even with the extra cost for the 3D.

I can't believe this one wasn't on included on the Glee CDs. I downloaded it as a single from iTunes because I just loved it.
